This is a glorious beast of a typewriter. The No.5 was first built in 1901 but the one shown may be from approx. 1915. This one has seen better days (fairly rusted & not functional) but for display purposes - it's gorgeous. I still marvel at the mechanical invention of the typewriter. There's nothing like a creation in which you can see so many of the parts while they're working.
